Letters From Nebraska Sod House
Pioneers: Based on family letters from Furnas County, Nebraska, to
Alice White of Stockport, Ohio. 38 members of the Forsythe and Newton families migrated from southeast Ohio to Furnas
County, between 1877 and 1891. They arrived just after the heyday of Indian fighting and buffalo hunting. Alice
